So it turns out the trip went pretty well, especially the return jaunt. I decided to take a little detour through the Yorkshire Dales and 'my god' the roads are amazing. So much so that I did another 180 mile round trip the following weekend to lap it up again. The route starts down the A1, which you leave shortly after J56 and instead of taking the A66 (a quite scenic road) you come off just before, I think its the A6108? Anyway, the roads are simply amazing, its a roller coaster of amazement. It starts off lightly with some nice bends until you come to a Richmond, which is a really nice little village/town. The start point is Leyburn, it really does feel like you're being treated with an experience. Tons of riders around all heading to the central point of Hawes and onwards to Sedburgh. To understand the glory heres a segment from google maps of the route just past Hawes:

I decided to bring my camera with me and try to document it. Unfortunately the road has very few stop off points and with it being so bendy, its dangerous to stop a lot.

Was really good, not quite as good as the first time though :( I think its the bike, its not as fun as it was 8 months ago. I really hate its lack of power now and its thin look from the back. I went to a dealer and he said I could Part Exchange it for a whopping £2200! Looks like thats the route I'll likely go for lol. I think commuting has really spoilt my feelings towards the bike.
Theres a MAG rally at the end of June, thinking of doing it!
