Blue CBF250 & Hale

Been out on the bike today, still in stunning condition. The bikes itself feels a lot better in terms of handling compared to my last CBF, however, it feels like the throttle range has been increased (this could just be me comparing it to the GSF650 minute throttle range). The bike does sound a lot more brutish - reminds me of videos I've seen of the Kwack KLR. I took the opportunity to get a few things done today. I bought some batteries for a Xena Disc Lock (very sensitive! I can understand why the previous owner took the batteries out). I also bought my first set of ear plugs and my god, they are incredible. When they're in it sounds as if you're underwater, it also promotes safer riding in my opinion because you feel calm and relaxed. I drove over to a place called Shaw's Corner, looking for a spot for my "signature" new bike photo. Above is the resultant image, fairly happy with the result really! Just as I was packing everything away to drive home.. the skies opened again. Although you cannot tell, given the instagram effect, the storm is looming in the far right corner. The rain was a lot heavier than it was yesterday, I was worried at one point that the hale stones could be damaging the exhaust and paintwork. I got the bike home but couldn't be bothered to clean it as I may have quite a trip on tomorrow anyway.

I bought a new pedal bike as my old one got stolen two days after my crash (why?!). Before I'd thought about buying a new motorbike, I'd ordered a train back to Newcastle on Saturday with the cycle. I start my new job on Monday and cycling isn't realistic (22miles a day) so I'll be riding the CBF. Being that I have 1 day until my train, I'm going to ride up to Newcastle (230miles) get a 3 hour train home and then get another train the following morning at 6am back to Newcastle with the bicycle! Sounds horrible, 12 hours travelling!
