Second last lesson today, next one is tomorrow morning. Think I've got the hang of everything now, its just about slowing it all down. Given that I've driven cars for 2 years, I've found I have too much confidence at speed when entering roundabouts. It's a strange feeling being a learner again and being told that every 5 seconds, you're doing something wrong. The instructors at my school explain constantly that they teach to a much higher standard than that required from the DSA, so hopefully I'll pass on Tuesday.
Things that I'm having to improve on are:
Noticing speed changes
Lane positioning at junctions
Too many head-checks when approaching round-abouts
It seems a lot about riding is being aware of your surroundings. When I passed my car test, I'd only had 20 lessons and managed to pass first time with 1 minor. I thought I was a master on the roads but riding a bike has proved me wrong. Every little sign can potentially have a much worse affect for a bike compared to a car. I don't feel that I'm ready to pass, but I didn't when I passed my car test.
