Ok, so my MOD1 was yesterday and I didn't know what to expect. Everyone I knew told me it was a piece of p*** but online I'd read about 5th-try horror stories.
We practiced the day before on some un-used ground and I felt especially nervous considering I only managed to do the swerve test perfectly once. Its hard to get the speed up to 30mph on a CG125 and you have to apply full throttle out of the corner in 2nd gear.
My method was to treat the tester with the upmost respect, remember their first name and thank them after they've told you the next manoeuvre to complete. Everything is just as easy as when you do it with your instructor. One thing to note is that it's very windy - I compensated this by adding extra throttle for stability. Theres a great video on YouTube where I guy has gone through his actual MOD1 with a camera:

The day before, three of us were practicing the MOD1 parts. On the day of the test, one of them actually came off his bike on the swerve because he applied the rear brake too hard. It should be 75% front brake progressively and rear brake shortly after at 25%.
I hit the speed trap at 51kph and 52kph on both parts (50kph needed) and passed with 0 minors! It really is that easy ;)
