Placement

After a depressing and long end to my Uni year, a stroke of luck came when I was invited to be interviewed by two potential Summer employers. I went to the first interview and luckily they offered me the job. Hopefully, if I can continue to save, I'll have more money to spend on a suitable upgrade from my CBF250.

Before, I'd been looking at getting a £3000-3500 bike but I'm considering stretching to maybe £4-5000. This has again changed what bike I'm looking at getting. From my research, I can justify buying a 2008 bike. Here's how I'm looking at it:

ZX6R 2008 9/10

- Not very sporty front, ECU restriction on some models, slowest of all 600s (image)
+ Good street torque range, looks nice, relatively cheap, undersea exhaust, average seat comfort, good brakes, narrow.

GSXR 600 K8 7/10

- Headlight design puts me off, Panda mirrors, stock exhaust would have to go straight away, WIDE, chance that its been ridden hard.
+ Loud, Good engine, some nice colour schemes, much nicer fit.

CBR600RR & 675R 4/10

-Too cramped, end of. Both are stunning bikes though.

R6 2007/8 8/10

-Still yet to sit on one, 2003 model was cramped, choky at low revs, more of a track bike, headlights still don't look great.
+Fast (image), Sounds great.

edit. 2008 has a very high riding position, very fixed and race focused posture.

So to anyone looking at making the ideal bike, you will need:

Looks from a 675R, Reliability and Comfort from a CBR600RR, Space and Torque from a GSXR600, Brakes and Exhaust from a ZX6R, Top end from a R6.
